I went on holiday for 3 weeks.
This is my notes.
I have formatted this section so that if you click on the date, a new window will open to contain the images browser.
If the window already exists, it will jump to the right location on the page in that window.
I have sorted the Ruisrock 2007 images in to a seperate location, so they are better formatted there.
Somehow despite going to sleep at 0345h I awoke at 0830h so was able to pack the tent away and pack my things before my 24h travel card ran out. I was also able to collect the 60 SEK change from the campsite reception. A beautiful sunny day ahead with clear blue skies, so I left my rucksack in a locker at the bus station and went to find breakfast. In order to preserve the last of my funds, I opted for a sandwich and juice + coffee from a 7-11. I wandered around the block then say near the royal Viking hotel to play some goodbye songs on the guitar. I decided to catch the 1300 flygbussarna instead of the 1400 one as I am anxious to have plenty of time at the airport. This allowed me to enjoy some time in the sun well before check-in, however I forgot to buy more food, and so I will have to eat when I get to Glasgow, as I refuse on general principal to pay 115 SEK for fish+chips! (exchange rate is 13.5 SEK to the pound) Ryanair charged me an extra 276 SEK because my second bag is a guitar, this has floored me, I had to use my credit card as Sweden has cleaned me out of money. I think in future I will fly easyjet as they have no such charges. I feel somewhat angry at the situation as the website implied it was for insurance options, and I was willing to take the risk. If they damage the guitar now I will be most upset! It does leave me to wonder what would have happened if I did not know my credit card details. To add to this, the boarding has started late, they mean it when they say cheapest as opposed to low cost! Another saying might be: fly cheap, eat for a kings ransom. This flight has failed to satisfy, as the food ran out by seat 10 out of 60 despite being overpriced. The attendants forgot to mention the 'free' prize draw and then forgot to give out the tickets, also lying regarding purchase requirements. At least I found out from my bank that I do have some money left :-)
