Went along the coastal route to Llandudno, and saw the Copper mine from 4000 B.C. at Great Ormes. The support van blew a gaskit going up the hill though.. 3 cyclinders from now on. Went on to a campsite just outside Chester.. I headed the way all of the day and was wiped out, 73 miles had gone past, and the change in muscles had had a toll.
Woke up feeling fresher, Cycled up to Blackpool/Liverpool, and took the ferry across the mersey. Weather was mostly good for the day, the lack of hills like cornwall had encouraged us.. we made good time to a nicely kept campsite near preston. Navigating Liverpool was easy enough, remembering when to go on to the A6 was a problem but it was overcome, and we got to the campsite early afternoon.. a change had taken place, the new support guy had taken a lot of the workload off.. actually managed to set up camp without sitting about doing nothing.. the days are getting easier.
