Baltic Tour 2007
Tour of Estonia, Finland and Sweden.

I went on holiday for 3 weeks.
This is my notes.
I have formatted this section so that if you click on the date, a new window will open to contain the images browser.
If the window already exists, it will jump to the right location on the page in that window.
I have sorted the Ruisrock 2007 images in to a seperate location, so they are better formatted there.

I also took a few videos at Ruisrock, which can be found here.

Made it to the area in time to see set of first 2 acts, glad I took some of own food, as predicted eveything is at a premium cost. Certainly not possible to stay standing for the whole time so lying on grass for the damned seagulls. Good to rest the legs for a while! Music is kicking ass for sure, bass notes surround me from 3 stages. The pippettes had a good following but were not as good sounding as I hoped, cute girls though. Waiting in Teltta for Juliet & the licks now, another chance to take a seat for a while, I might check out food options after this set The licks kicked (T), then went on to Mastodon, serious hard core moshing music, complete with death pit, this is the first set that I saw the security actually have to deal with folk misbehaving I took a break to call Päivi to find out direction back, and then on to Husky Rescue, who were a nice relax slow rock On to leningrad however I did get to see why children of bodom were so popular, very much showmen. Leningrad were excellent, ska style with Spanish flamenco like sound, complete with fat man sitting to dance. Flaming lips started out poor but again big showmanship, and their first time in finland.

Twice as many people attending, I arrived at about 1540h Bands are just as good, sonatica arctica rocked with fast drumming and fiery effects, getting back to the front area proved troublesome however due to a bottleneck on the only route, if I get a chance to feed back then that will be my main comment 1850 waiting for The Ark who were entries for eurovision 2020 the ark were brilliant, glamrock to the extreme, and we got an encore, Ulas stroked the crowd's ego, the trip to the other area had no crush this time, possibly due to other sets still going on. On to the magic numbers, possibly will try to get back through the throng to see the flames, but it will mean another return to see the bellrays Magic numbers was magic, the most songs that I recognised in one set, and then I made it to the flames. The flames were another heavy band with people forming another death pit, and the sounds echoed in my ears near the end as I headed back to paviljonkislava for the bellrays I didn't hang around long for the bellrays, instead going to the bar near niittylava and meeting some fins where we discussed similar drinking cultures
