USA 2008
NYC/Buffalo/Niagara/Chicago/Cleveland/Toronto

My trip to NE USA will take my from NYC to Buffalo via Rochester NY, Buffalo to Chicago IL, then Cleveland OH, before coming back through Niagara Falls, and Toronto.

I seem to be writing quite a bit for each day, so use the Prev and Next links to go from day to day

I got a copy of all the photos taken on Coriander's camera, these can be viewed here.

I got up with a bit of time to spare, and arrived at Grand Ave, as per my instructions from DarkGoddess.
I decided to call to try and micromanage the meeting a bit better. As a result, I was able to wait at Randolph and Michigan (the corner of Millenium Park)
DarkGoddess arrives with her daughter (I'll call her minigoddess :) ) in tow. DarkGoddess is much shorter than i expected, but still looked as hot as I remember from her photo :)
We get the red trolley with a view to going to Navy Pier, then realise that it took us back where we started. Ooooops!
We finally manage to get the bus to the pier. This is the location of the Ferris Wheel, which was interesting to me, as the world's first ever Ferris Wheel was built in Chicago for the Columbian Exposition 1893.
Once we got off the wheel, I shopped for some post cards, and then we had a breakfast of cheese and ham sandwich at Italian place. Minigoddess had some buttered pasta which looked pretty tasty!
We went on to the museum campus so that I could get some good skyline shots, and discovered the museum was free for that day, so we went around the Africa and Egypt exhibits.
I could easily fall for DarkGoddess I think. She is beautiful to watch, alas, distance means I will have to settle for copious amounts of flirting ;)
I got some good photos of the views of Chicago from across the bay, and then we headed to Gino's East. En route we went past a Hard Rock, so I decided I had to buy a t-shirt.
We had a giant deep pan pizza, which we were unable to finish between us, despite my being absolutely ravenous!
After this we rushed to Hancock for Godiva cocktails, though these had to be rushed also as DarkGoddess needed to catch a train back home.
DarkGoddess grabbed a cab outside the Hancock, which sped her to the station after a quick hug goodbye. It was great visitting, and I'm definately glad I decided to make the detour here :)
