I went on holiday for 3 weeks.
This is my notes.
I have formatted this section so that if you click on the date, a new window will open to contain the images browser.
If the window already exists, it will jump to the right location on the page in that window.
I have sorted the Ruisrock 2007 images in to a seperate location, so they are better formatted there.
Early wakeup was in vain as laundry was not yet dry, and so I caught the later bus instead. I bid Jonathan farewell and headed to the station by tram.
The 2.5 hour bus journey was pleasent with green everywhere. At one point, a lorry jumped the lights and we only just avoided colliding with it.
Kristel was waiting for me at the station and we headed back to her apartment.
I took the opportunity to check emails and relax.
I am currently staying with a friend in Tartu, Estonia.
I have had a great time so far, The O2 is a really big venue, O2
completely spoiled everyone by putting us up in a hotel room that cost
#175 a night, and we were flown down on a Brittish Airways flight.. very
posh!
I met an Itallian guy who was flirting with aa German lady in a pub near
Victoria station on the sunday, and had a good flight in to Tallinn.
I landed on my feet by making the right questions, and found a hostel in
Tallinn for #9 a night. The people who run the hostel are backpackers
themselves, and I was at two parties in two nights.. Im so glad I took my
guitar!
All the people here are wonderful, and fortunately for me, they all sspeak
English (My Estonian is not good enough for day to day conversation yet)
I will be going back to Tallinn for the weekend, where they are having a
song and dance festival that is held every 3 years. I expect to head on to
Helsinki from there , though I have been warned it is very expensive.
Certainly compared to Estonia, everything will seem expensive, so I am
making the most of saving money now while I still can. Beer is only #1.30
a pint, and that isnt even during happy hour!
This evening I will meet more of the people I chat with online, so am
looking forward to that.
