I took the minivan to the bus station, where I got some basic snacks for breakfast, before boarding the bus, which was a very run down old machine.
We all had to get off the bus for the ferry, and when getting off the ferry there was some confusion as to what bus we had to take.
It came apparent though that it was to be the same old machine, which took us to Surat Thani, where we could wait in a restaurant for the different pick ups.
A tuk tuk took us on to the next bus boarding spot, before we got on yet another bus that took us to the airport itself.
I grabbed lunch at a restaurant in the airport, just a simple rice and pork affair, and then checked in.
There were two gates at the airport, and none of them had information boards, so we had to wait until our flight gate opened before we were able to tell.
One of the other passengers on the plane had fallen asleep, then woke up, unsure whether or not he'd missed it, so asked me which gate he was meant to be in, and I had to admit that I also was unsure!
The flight was fairly uneventful - take off, flight, landing, all the usual!
I had done a bit of research so knew I could get the bus to Mochit, and then get on the sky train to near my hostel.
I was hoping to be able to meet up with Kiane, who also was arriving the same day, but we missed each other due to different flight times, and agreed to meet the following day instead.
