I got up early, and managed to get to the front of the hostel before getting the van at 8.30.
Despite being early, we missed the ideal ferry for getting off the island, and made our way to Krabi for 10am, after a 25 minute crossing.
We changed vans in Krabi, and then headed out towards Don Sak Sakon Port, for the boat to Koh Samui.
Our driver drove at an alarming fast pace, which made it difficult to take photos, but we made it safely to Sura Thani by 1347h where we stopped for a toilet break and a chance to buy some food for lunch.
Thanks to the speedy gonzales nature of the driving, we were able to reach the Don Sak ferry port in time for the boat to Koh Samui.
The ferry crossing involved even more spectacular scenery and sea scapes.
This time there was nobody trying to tout taxi services, and by chatting with some of the other passengers I was able to establish there was a bus service that would take me to the side of the island that had my hostel.
I got on the bus, and then alighted at the right stop, though took a wrong turn ad ended up in a bit of wasteland area before realising, and going back before getting the right place and checking in.
