I skipped looking for food, deciding that I would buy some on the boat, and aded to the reception to get the bus.
I realised that there might not be any ATMs on the island, so rushed to take some money out and made it back just before the bus picked us up and took us to the harbour.
Once on the boat, I couldn't find anything I wanted to eat, but did notice that there was beer for sale at a reasonable price, so decided to indulge myself, since I am technically on holiday!
The weather was fantastic, with brilliant sunshine, and the boat made its way through the limestone islands, which towered spectacularly over the sea.
The boat took a short meander detour past the beach from 'The Beach'.
Once we reached the pier at Koh Phiphi, I was met by a very tall American who helped me find a hostel and also introduced me to the nearest dive shopto enquire about dive options.
I dropped my stuff at the hostel, which was a good 20 minutes walk from the pier, and then headed back to the pier area to grab some food - I went with the lazy option of a burger and chips!
After chatting with a couple of the dive shops, I went with the first option I had been shown, and booked 4 dives for the following day.
That evening, I discovered that there were bed bugs in the bed I had been assigned, and the landlady let me change beds, though again this one had bed bugs, and I established that it seemed like every bed had bed bugs.
With that in mind, I spent the rest of the evening searching for another hostel instead, and eded up booking in to the Apache Night Club party hostel - with the view that loud music was easier to sleep through than being eaten alive!
