I took the bus from the hostel to the train station, and found out that the people on the busses really don't pay much attention to where they are standing, by someone standing on my toes! Ouch!
I alighted near the station, where a local teenager decided to befriend me, asking where I was from, and practicing english.
He followed me in to the 7-11 where I bought some lunch, and we exchanged SM details. He asked if I needed help to where I was going and I advised that it was just to the station (across the road), and we parted ways.
I got the train to Kaohsiung, my last stop in Taiwan.
This train was not a bullet train, so stopped at almost every station, and took a while, then I managed to locate the MRT station, and navigated my way to the hostel from there.
The hostel was almost hotel quality, very clean, and a fancy sliding glass door at the front, and the beds had privacy curtains.
We got our own locker to store shoes in, and slippers for wearing indoors.
After checking in, I located a place down the street where I was able to order some teamed rice with pork for a good price, before settling in to the hostel for the night.
