I had a lazyish morning, and slowly headed to station, managing to get the local train down to Taidong.
The train journey was quite smooth, and though I suspect I was on the wrong carriage it wasn't a problem, ad I got to enjoy the views of high mountains reaching the seas, and wide river deltas.
At the train station, I had a bit of a job trying to find the local bus to the hostel, and after establishing the right place, met a cute girl from Slovenja, who is doing work away stays - paying for her room and board in hostels by working at the hostels.
She had been staying on the West side, working on a farm to pay for accomodation, and was now looking for a hostel to work in on the East side.
We had a chat as we worked out the bus options, and agreed to meet later for a beer.
When I got to the hostel, I met Jordan who was also staying there, and we had a laugh about how small Taiwan is when you meet folk!
We headed for noodles, then headed to the hostel where the Slovenja girl had managed to find a work-for-stay option, so she served us our beers :)
The beers were expensive though so after one, we headed to a local store, and bought some to take back to our own hostel and chat about our options, before heading to bed.
