I headed to Taipei 101 today for some views from the top.
I bought at the ticket machine so that I could claim the freebie on offer, but I failed to notice that the receipts and tickets came from different dispenser places, and thus didn't take the actual tickets.
By the time I made it to the ticket check place to be told, the tickets were gone, and I had to get them replaced at the counter. Fortunately I only had to pay once!
There was no set tour so I could take my time at top. I found the information about the damper pendulum and video of it working in an earth quake to be quite fascinating!
Once I got to the base, I was stopped by someone doing a tourism questionaire, so I obliged by helping them out and providing selfies with them!
By now it was too late for elephant mountain sunset, so I made my way back to the hostel, and then on to the night market to try out more food.
On the way, I found a nice place for pork rice at a good price, so enjoyed my first rice meal in Taiwan!
