I spent this morning working out whether it would be cheaper to replace my books or post them back. After establishing that it was cheaper to post them back, I sorted out other things to post too, including clothes I hadn't used for the entire trip, and some other items, including the chinese chess set.
I headed to the post office at around 2pm, and looked for an international box to send everything with, eventually finding a 14l box that managed to fit everything in if it was sealed closed with parcel tape!
I had to go to the basement floor of the post office to post it, and established that sending it by boat was the cheapest option, though the lady advised me that it would take up to 3 months to be delivered. Since I was going to be travelling for at least that long and longer, I didn't mind the timescale, though I joked with her asking if they were using a camel to deliver it!
I let Sara and Colin know the package was on its way, and then headed to Chinatown to get some Rojak for late lunch. After this I sorted out my flights to Kuching and tidied up a few other loose ends.
