I've been puttinf off going to Immigration to get my stamp moved, as I wasn't sure if I'd still be allowed to stay to the end of the stamped date, or be asked to leave the country within 7 days again.
I made the decision that, if I was given 7 days, I'd make my way to Thailand, and if I was allowed to remain until the 4th of September, I would make my way to Borneo and work my way towards the Philippines that way.
After working out the options, I was ready to book the flights, though given the uncertainty about the dates, I held off doing this.
I also needed to take in to account the fact that I have a flight booked with Emirates to fly from Tokyo back to Glasgow via Dubai, as it is now clear to me that I won't be going back before next year now!
My idea for Borneo was mostly formed by the end of the day at least, as I wanted to go to Kuching (Cat City!), and meet up with Mariana. The idea involved going by bus from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu, via Miri and Bandar Seri in Brunei. The internal flights were about 4 times the price of the bus!
