We woke up early, and as there was still half a day left on the bike rental, the plan was for Kim to give me a lift to the path for the waterfall, while he went on to the beach where we had stopped for ice cream, and we would meet up again after 2 hours.
I headed off up the path and found my way as directed by the person the day before, to the waterfall, though found that I was at the top rather than the botoom, which wouldn't have made for very good photos.
As such, I carefully climbed down the cascade (it was more of a cascade than a waterfall), and admired the countryside and scenery as I took various photos.
When it was time to go, I had to find a different route up, as I wanted to be sure of my footing and not slip. It was a bit nerve wracking as I am not a seasoned rock climber, but I made it ok, and got to the bottom of the path where I enjoyed a teh-o ais (iced tea) and waited for Kim.
We headed back to the motorbike rental place on the bike, and then went to look for some nasi goreng. This was harder to find than we had anticipated, as only one place was open at the food court by the memorial.
Kim decided to have noodles anyway, and I waited on for Nasi goreng, so he went back to the hostel and left me to my own devices.
I gave up waiting for anywhere to open, and headed towards Cornwallis fort, which is a heritage site.
I found another food court near here, which was serving Nasi Goreng Ayam for only 5RM, so I seized the opportunity, and enjoyed the feast!
After this I decided to head to the terminal to purchase the ferry tickets to Langkawi, and scout out the area so that I could find it easily the next day. This was close to the Cornwallis location anyway, so it didn't take long. It did however take long enough for the eavens top open and for there to be a heavy rain shower, so I waited under the awning of the building before heading back to the hostel.
When I got there, I found Kim had managed to find some whiskey, and we enjoyed the bottle as we agreed that f we could meet in Korea he would show me round his hometown.
We had moved rooms at this point, as a large group was arriving in the guest house today, and this turned out to be a group who thought it was OK to be very loud and crashing and banging throughout the building until 3am, so neither of us got much sleep!
