I got on the boat, which left at 6.45, and we were in long beach for 7.30. I was pretty worn out, but I checked the area and found a dive center which offered a package where if I did 5 dives I could stay in the dorm for 35 MR, which included a good breakfast in the morning. This worked out about the same price as I had been paying in Tioman so I was happy with that offer, and the 5 dives would cost 70 MR each - almost half the price of the diving on Tioman!
I took that offer, and as the dorm was available immediately, I took the chance to grab some shut eye! I woke up mostly refreshed, and decided to go and snorkle to see what the place was like.
The guys at the dive center recommended that since the bay was so busy with boats, it was better to go on the other side of the pier, so that's where I went, with snorkle and new dive mask in hand.
I ended up snorkeling for a long time as it was great to be able to see so well, and was rewarded for my efforts by getting to see a broadclub cuttlefish, and a Titan Triggerfish. This was the first time I'd really been able to see the triggerfish properly, so I wasn't sure what it was, but I was able to draw a sketch of it when I got back, so used the dive center's fish book to find it, though the dive masters there already knew without the book!
