Today started off with my main excuse for coming to KL - Diving Shop! After chatting with the dive person from Tioman I established that Scuba Warehouse would be the best place to go as it has the best range of equipment, so I would be more likely to find a mask that fit.
We took a grab taxi there, and I tried on all the masks, finding one that was the best fit. I had expected at this point that I would need to provide my prescription and then come back later, but they already had the prescription lenses in stock, so were able to fit the mask on the spot. The whole process took less than an hour, and I went away with my new mask and snorkle, ready to face the ocean!
After this, Kim and I went to the Petronas towersto get the almost compulsory shots of us there. We tried various places to be able to fit the towers in to the shots, and then went to have dinner in the mall. We also went to the chemist, I was looking for Deet insect repellant and he needed some provisions too.
We then went on to look for food, and found a food court, and despite me initially thinking I wanted nasi goreng, I ended up buying an expensive burger and fries! Oh well, I'm only here once!
We headed to get a ticket for me to go to the tower at night, though Kim had already been on his last visit here so didn't join in with that. We then went out to the KLCC park and took more photos of the building lit up in the dark, before I went to cash in my ticket and he went back to the hostel.
The views from the top were very good, though the tour itself was quite short and felt pretty rushed. It was difficult to get good photographs because the windows were so dirty, they created a distracting glow in all of the shots. Having said that it was still worth doing, though I refused to pay the cost of the entry fee for the photo of me at the bottom!
Rather than trying to find the GOKL free bus, I opted for the LRT which took me directly to Pasar Seni, with no changes or walking required!
