I enjoyed a nice lazy start to the day as the ferry was at some point after lunch time. I had some toast and jam for breakfast, and checked at the 7-11 to see if they had the key tags that I had by now managed to save up enough stickers for.
This 7-11 was out of stock too! I went back to the hostel and packed all my bags, then headed to the ferry port to get the tickets, as I knew that I wold need a few hours to sort that out. I had to go to 4 ticket counters for various aspects - the ticket, the conservation tax, the park entry fee, and so on!
The ferry was still some time away and someo f the desks were closed, so I headed back t he main street and grabbed some Nasi Goreng for lunch before going back to the terminal. The ice tea that I had was so cold that the humidity was condensing above it and flowing down the sides of the glass!
Once I got back to the terminal I was able to pay the taxes and get my boarding pass, then got on the boat with rucksack and guitar and all, and enjoyed the journey over the sea to the island.
As the island drew near it looked very breathtaking, with sharp volcanic cliffs o nthe south side, and covered in Jungle. I got to ABC pier, and disembarked, and felt something pulling my rucksack down. I turned around and there was Kim to greet me. He led me to the South Pacific Barakat Chalets where he had negotiated a great deal for me to stay for only 30 RM a night!
After I had gotten settled we discussed the plans - first port of call was to walk to the other side of the Island and check out the beach at Juara.
