We started the day by going to the Mega Mall that as near La Famosa, and doing a lot of window shopping. Raine was also looking for a place to get some glasses so we spent a bit of time at various opticians trying out frames and posting them to her friends in Singapore to see which provided the best fit.
It got towards lunch time, so we looked around for food, and after some indecision on my part, we ended up going to Marrybrown, which is a Malaysian version of KFC, and having cicken burgers and fried chicken and rice.
After lunch, we headed to La Famosa, an old Portugese church and grave yard, which was on top of a hill. The church there had no roof any more, and the place had a strong feeling of the history of the area.
We enjoyed taking photos in various poses, and then walked down the path towards the old town center, stopping by the various tourist stalls on the way. After this we visitted the old cathedral which was falling over, and then made our way along the river to the Warung where I had enjoyed Nasi Goreng the night before.
We ordered Nasi Lemak ith Telur Goreng and Ayam Goreng, and enjoyed the meal in the evening. After polishing off the plates, we went on to the end of Jonker Street to wander through the Chinese Night market.
There were lots of stalls, including tasty food stalls, but since we had eaten we didn't end up trying very much of the food. We bought some small trinket souvenirs, including some small wooden manga ones, and some pandas and fridge magnets.
I almost bought a bluetooth selfie stick, but after having spent 2 weeks in Malaysia already I was starting to get a feel for the currency, and the 27MR price felt like too much!
We stopped off at the entrance to a temple which had interesting sculptures, and then made our way back to the hostel
