During the previous day I had been looking online for people to meet for touring purposes, and managed to get in touch with Elena and Fany who, who were able to drive me around the Bali area for free. We arranged to meet and went to the Uluwatu cliff temple for sunset.
Elena was ill with a throat infection, so wasn't able to make it, but her friend, who was just starting up a new hostel business in Kuta, did pick me up at my hostel and we drove to Uluwatu temple for sunset.
We made it there and enjoyed a great show by the people at the temple, depicting the story of Ramayama and the kidnapping of his wife. This ended with some interaction with the crowd near the end, all while the sun was setting over the ocean in the distance. We didn't actually end up seeing any of the temple itself after the show, but we had a good time. We headed back to Kuta via a Warung who sold samoa like things which were delicious!
We half arranged to go to Ubud the following day, and then I got dropped off at e hostel.
I hung out with the other people at the hostel, and learned a game called 'Killer', where one person is the killer, one is the policeman, one person is a spy, and the rest are civilians (determined by selected cards from a deck). It plays out like a who-dunnit, though requires interesting role playing and persuation skills.
