Well, it had to happen at some point sooner or later in this tour. I had reached a point where I thought I was going to be travelling over land for the next several months, and I was missing playing one, so today I went round town looking for a guitar.
I made it to a few guitar shops, and enjoyed trying out several of the ones available, but they were all over S$100, which was a bit over my budget.
After much searching I found another of the shops on Google maps that had evaded me, and went inside to check it out. The first thing I saw there was a second hand guitar, looking as if it was brand new, selling for S$50.
I asked if I could try it out, so they took it down, and I checked, very pleased to find that the bridge was in the right place and the guitar kept its tuning all the way up the neck. I only hesistated a moment more, then forked out the cash, very happy with my new purchase!
I took it back to the hostel, and spent the rest of the evening trying to remember all the songs I used to play before I started out on this adventure!
