Something that had been apparent to Shiho and myself when we were in Melbourne City center, was a feeling like there was no real positive energy. There was lots of people, but it felt tense rather than a nice atmosphere. We couldn't really place it.
Today I went around the Harbour Front with Pam, and the feeling in the Harbour District was completely different - it felt much more relaxed, and more like how I felt in Sydney in their harbour districts. This made me wonder if that is a feature of harbour areas in general.
We decided to go on the ferris wheel so we could get some good views, and I spotted a mini american football in the souvenir shop, so bought one for Justine and left it in the care of Pam, since I knew they were meeting up later on!
We made our way back to the town after that and said our goodbyes.
I had changed hostels by this point, as the original one I was at had jacked the prices up something stupid due to the Australian open being on. On that note, I had decided that since I was going to be here for the start of the Australian open, I should get a ticket to see Andy Murray, and so bought tickets for the whole first day at the Rod Laver arena!
