Today was the last day that I could spend with Shiho before she left, and we went to the Museum of Moving Pictures, near the tourist information center. There were lots of exhibits, and this included a chance to take matrix time style photo video, though Shiho, Tai and myself were not able to really do anything amazing with the time slot!
Shiho and I went down to the basement exhibit which included some helium fish balloons that were approximately the same density as the air, which meant it was possible to look as though you were underwater with the fish just floating in front of you.
We had great fun trying to get every single fish balloon in the air at once!
Tai somehow missed this and made it down after we made it up to the cafe to grab some food.
We walked back to Shiho's apartment, and I said my good byes, heading back to my own hostel. I had arranged to go to the immigration museum and St. Kilda beach with Pam, so made my way there.
I felt quite melancholy waiting at the museum, as everyone from the triple T group was being left behind one by one, and there was just Pam left really.
Going round the immigration museum, it was really sad to hear the tales of the people who were leaving their homes to move to Australia, so I decided to skip the video, and we went round the exhibits instead.
We only just made it round the museum before it closed, and then headed towards St Kilda Beach to watch the sunset and look out for penguins.
This as also a great experience, we got to see some water rats (photos were too tricky to get), and the penguins were so small it was hard to spot at first. The sunset also provided a great backdrop, and I saw some kite surfers, which made me think of Uncle John!
