Today was a lazy morning, and I enjoyed a nice long lie - the first proper sleep in for a long time!
When I did eventually get up, I went down to reception to find out whether or not the Cleland park was open, as the website said it was closed due to the bad weather, but there were also indications it might be open! I was able to use the phone at reception and the staff at the park confirmed it was open.
I arranged with Marcus (a person in the same room as me at the hostel) that we would meet at around 2pm, and then met up with Justine in the square. We made our way to the bus information center and got the tickets and where to catch the bus to the park then headed to meet Marcus at the stop.
We decided to get off at the top of the hill and walked the path down to the park. There had been a vague plan to eat at the top but it seemed quite expensive so we abandoned that plan and just made our way down.
There was no real plan at the park but we did get to see pretty much everything there, starting with the Dingos and making our way through the various Kangaroo enclosures and finally to the reptile house, where we enountered many snakes - being sure to take photos to tease Vanessa with later!
We made it back to Adelaide city and I went to the off license to buy some whiskey, since I was going on another tour over new year - and had to show my highland hospitality! The whiskey was of course, expensive, and I had to settle for a blend rather than a single malt, but I decided that I didn't mind too much since not everyone was likely to really appreciate the finer points of a good single malt anyway.
I spent the rest of the evening getting ready and packing so that all I had to do was fall out of bed in the morning to get the bus
