The day started with me getting up at 7am to do laundry, as by this point I had completely run out of clean things to wear! There was enough room to include the stuff Manon needed to wash too, so by 9am I had clean clothes and Manon did too!
We arranged to meet at Victoria Square for 1010, and as we were in separate hostels, met in two groups - Bea met manon and myself and we got to the square and waited for Shiho and Justine.
We made our way to the Botanical Gardens and wandered around a bit, finding a small cafe where ice cream seemed to be the thing to have given how hot it was!
The next port of call after that was the Wine Center, where we got to try out making wine (on computer), and we managed to single handedly destroy the reputation of many wine producers by making the worst wines possible!. Part of the plan had been to do wine tasting, as that was meant to be on the itinerary for the Outback Tour, but Terry didn't like the company who did it and refused to take us.
We enquired about the wine tasting, and discovered it was pretty much a do it yourself, having to select wines from a list of over 200, and get the information about them ourselves, which was not the cellar door experience we wanted, so we abandoned the idea, and instead walked towards the museums and library.
We wandered around the library for a while, which had some interesting history information about the area, and then made our way to the market, where I decided to try and get information about a better case for the camera, as the holdall style wasn't very good for going around during the day.
We all decided that we would head to Glenelg for sunset, so hopped on the tram and lazed on the beach for a while. One of the theme songs for the trip we had just been on was Colt 45, and we decided we would make up some lyrics for each member of the group, so we headed to the fish and chip shop and got our order in while brain storming for ideas.
This kept us all very amused and we made it back to the beach in time to watch the sun sinking below the horizon. I got to try out some settings on the camera, and think I managed to get some nice shots, even if I do say so myself!
After the sun had set, we all headed back, and decided to go to the Shakespeare hostel as I had advised there was hardly anybody in my room, so we used that to record our version of the rap and sent it to the group chat. It took a few takes as we were laughing so much trying to get it right!
We all went our own ways back after that, th vague plans for the next day, though some of us were leaving the next day.
